Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) and Adria Ariona (approaching father of the bride) has signed on to star in the upcoming action comedy. hitmanFrom Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater (Childhood). AGC International launched international photography sales in Cannes and signed local rights with CAA Media Finance and Cinetic.
Written by Linklater and Powell, the film is A. Texas Monthly Article by Skip Hollandsworth. In it, Powell plays Houston’s least trusted, or even most wanted, killer. If you’re paying him to get rid of a cheating wife or a sadistic boss, you should watch out: he works for the police. When he breaks protocol to help a desperate woman (Arjona) trying to escape from an abusive friend, he finds himself living the life of one of his fake personalities, falling in love with a woman and flirting to become a criminal.
hitman Watch Linklater audition for Powell in the following movies: FAST FOOD NATION, Everyone wants something!! Y Apollo 10½: Childhood in the Space Age. The project is the first to be produced as a screenplay by Powell. AGC Studios undertakes the financing of the film, which will be released in October. Linklater and Michael Blizzard, along with Detour Pictures, co-produced with Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman, Aggregate Films, and Powell with BarnStorm Productions.
