Science educator Kyle Hill create awesome videos to help the common person understand scientific concepts better. In his most recent video, Hill talks about the real problem with AI. He uses the example of a Go amateur beating the most advanced Go-interpreting AI as a prime example to talk about the fundamental problem with all AI currently available. I really recommend you watch his video because he does a great job of breaking it down. The very short version is that AI doesn’t actually understand anything, and we don’t understand AI very well, which means that if/when something goes wrong, it could have dire consequences.
