The first film, Through My Window, became a worldwide hit upon its release in Netflix in 2021. The love story between Ares and Raquel, two young people who fall in love through the windows of their rooms, captivated audiences and became the sixth most watched non-English language film in the history of the streaming platform.

Will Ares and Raquel be able to save their long-distance love?

Now, with the arrival of Across the Sea, the story continues. Ares has decided to go to study in Stockholm, which represents a challenge for the couple who must face each other from a distance. The film was directed by Marçal Forés and written by Eduard Solà, based on characters created by Ariana Godoy. Nostromo, the production company responsible for the first film, repeats as producer in this sequel, with Núria Valls and Adrián Guerra as producers.

One of the biggest challenges for the production was shooting in different locations. Across the Sea was filmed in Barcelona and Stockholmwhich required a great logistical and coordination effort to ensure that the final result was coherent and responded to the expectations of the fans.

The cast of the film is led by the actors who brought Ares and Raquel to life in the first episode, Iván Marcos and Clara Galle. In addition, new actors join the cast such as Alexandra Jiménez, who plays Johanna, Ares’ roommate in Stockholm, and David Solans, who plays Alex, a friend of Raquel.
