Special: Chris Pratt returns to the ring with a documentary about world champion wrestler Helen Marully.

Marvel star Gotham Chopra has partnered with Religion of Sports and Reserve Entertainment, a company founded by Michael Strahan and Tom Brady. I think Helen.

Pratt is walking the Indivisible Productions sign.

Directed by Dylan Mulik, the documentary tells the story of Olympic champion Helen Marully. At just 23, she competed in her first Rio Olympics against 13-time world champion Saori Yoshida, the most awarded female fighter of all time. Yoshida remained undefeated for more than four years in a row until she walked on the canvas with Maruli, who shocked the world and beat Yoshida and became the first and only American woman to win a gold medal in wrestling.

After Rio, Helen continued her streak and established herself as the best pound fighter in the world. However, the series came to a halt in 2018 when Helen suffered a concussion mid-game. He finished the wrestling tournament but the concussion caused a traumatic brain injury. What followed was a tough battle with anxiety disorder, depression, severe post-traumatic stress disorder, and chronic pain that forced Ellen into early retirement. Brilliant champion Marulis did what he does best: fight.

The Doctor follows Marulis’ journey on the carpet a year and a half later as he trains to defend his title at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Tracey Ofrgood, Darren Murman and Sean Devereaux are also producers. UTA Independent Film Group sells the worldwide rights to the film.

“Sharing my story high and low with the world was exciting, humbling, stressful, but ultimately groundbreaking,” said Marulis. “I enjoyed working with passionate people who recorded my trip in a rough, honest and authentic way. I hope others will enjoy it as well and bring them positive benefits.”

“I grew up as a wrestler,” Chris Pratt added. “I appreciate the dedication, sacrifice and dedication required to compete at such a high level. Ellen’s story is absolutely unbelievable. I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of sharing it with the world.”

“I met Helen many years ago, during a difficult time to say the least,” said Dylan Mullick. “The opportunity to capture her journey up close with the camera in hand changed her life. Helen will change the way you think about most martial arts, and thanks to this incredible team, we were able to present her story to the world with the care it deserves.”

Chris Pratt is represented by attorneys at UTA, Rise Management and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
