Ana de Armas has been asked to take on the role of Wonder Woman as Peter Safran and James Gunn reinvent the DC Universe.
“Well, I feel like Gal Gadot is doing a great job,” De Armas said Wired Interview auto-completion. “I think she should go ahead with it.”
Gal Gadot recently reprized her role as Diana Prince Shazam! wrath of the gods. However, Gadot’s future in the role remains uncertain after Patty Jenkins’ third installment wonder woman was deleted.
Following the news that the threequel was over, Jenkins released a statement saying, “I never ran away. I was open to whatever was asked of me. I understood that at this point there was nothing was what I could do moving forward. DC is clearly buried in changes they need to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.
Before the news that wonder woman 3 didn’t happen, Gadot shared a post on social media showing her gratitude for being able to play the role.
“A few years ago it was announced that I was going to play Wonder Woman. I am so grateful for the chance to play such an incredible, iconic character, and most of all, I am grateful to YOU. The supporters. I can’t wait to share her next chapter with you Gadot tweeted.
Wonder Woman’s future remains uncertain at this time. Safran and Gunn reinvent the DC Universe with a new Superman that will usher in a new era Superman: Legacy Movie theater burglaries in 2025.
