The series is set in the Talamasca, which is “a secret organization featured in several of Rice’s iconic novels that is dedicated to studying the supernatural world and protecting mortals from its darker elements.” There are no other story details, but this should make for an interesting series! Talamasca was introduced The Witches of Mayfair through the character Ciprien Grieve (Tongai Chirisa).

John Lee Hancock (The blind side, The banditAND The founder) will serve as writer and showrunner of the series. He’s a talented director and I’m sure he’ll do some fun things with the show and the story he’s trying to tell.

The announcement was made by Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, during the AMC Networks upfront presentation in New York. He said:

“The enthusiastic critical and fan reception for ‘Interview’ and ‘Mayfair’ is a great sign of what is yet to come in this immersive universe based on the works of Anne Rice. We are thrilled to be in the active development of the next chapter in this growing franchise, written and presented by the incomparable John Lee Hancock. The Talamasca is one of the most intriguing elements of Rice’s work and a common thread through so many of her stories, the standalone and crossover potential for this third series is immense.

Have you looked at the Interview with a vampire AND The Witches of Mayfair? Did you like the shows? Are you looking forward to this new one?
