Here is the synopsis of the document:

An unflinching and humanizing examination of the life, death and secrets of Vickie Lynn Hogan, best known as the famous model and actress Anne Nicola Smith. Since her first Playboy appearance in 1992, Anna Nicole’s meteoric rise has been the very essence of the American dream, tragically cut short by her untimely death in 2007. With access to never-before-seen footage, home movies, and interviews with key figures who unspoken until now, Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me reveals new insights into the story of the ultimate blonde bombshell that hardly anyone knew about.

Director Ursula Macfarlane project statement:

“I approached the story of Anna Nicole as an epic mystery tale. How did someone with so much charisma and stunning beauty, with the world at her feet, fall so far, so fast? Now it feels like the right time to reexamine the life of another beautiful young woman whose life was taken and ultimately destroyed by our culture.”

Sounds like a really sad story. Everyone knew a sensationalized version of this person and, as always, there was a real human being with a lot of sadness underneath. Check out the trailer and doc poster below and see Anna Nicole Smith: You don’t know me when it releases on Netflix on May 16th.
