Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon Join Ethan Coen’s Comedy Film Caper DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS

Peter Pascal (The Last of Us) AND Matt Damon (Air) have joined the cast of Ethan Coenthe next film project of Dolls to drive, which is described as a “comic caper”. The film follows Jamie, “an uninhibited free spirit lamenting yet another breakup with a girl, and his demure friend Marian who is in desperate need of relaxation. Looking for a fresh start, the two take an impromptu trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they encounter a group of inept criminals along the way.

Pascal is enjoying a successful career at the moment and has become very popular with his work The Mandalorian AND The Last of Us. Damon recently starred in the drama Nike Air, and the two will make a great addition to the film. The two had previously worked together on the Chinese fantasy action film, The great wall.

This is Ethan’s first narrative film project without his brother Joel Coen. Over the years the filmmakers have made a bunch of great movies together like The Big Lebowski, Fargo, It’s no country for old men, and more. Ethan will direct the film from a script he and his wife co-wrote Tricia Cooke. The two had previously worked together on the documentary, Jerry Lee Lewis: Problems in mind.

As for Ethan and Joel’s solo projects right now, Ethan said there’s no drama between the brothers. it’s just the exhaustion that comes with making movies for over 30 years. He explained: “Nothing happened, definitely nothing dramatic. You start when you’re a kid and you want to make a movie. Everything is excitement and excitement, let’s go make a movie. And the first movie is just really funny. And then the second film is very funny, almost as much as the first. And after 30 years, not that it’s not fun, but it’s more work than it used to be.

The two haven’t worked together since 2018 The ballad of Buster Scruggs. Dolls to drive is a co-production of Focus Features and Working Title. He is also the protagonist Feldstein cap, Colman DomingoAND Bill Camp.
