Nicholas Hoult has acted in quite a few films that you may have heard of. He was a young version of X-Men’s blue mutant The Beast and was in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road.
He is now completing the rounds for his final role Renfeld. But even with all that on his resume, he can’t help but wonder what would have happened had he landed a few other roles.
There was a time when he was ready for Matt Reeves’ The dough. He also auditioned for a supporting role alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick. Then there are the Mission Impossible – dead reckoning Conditions. All potentially career-changing.
“I did a screen test for [‘The Batman’] and didn’t get it,” Hoult told The Guardian. “Screen test for ‘Top Gun’, don’t get it. Then I got the call from Tom Cruise, “Hey, how’s Mission Impossible going?” ‘Okay. Understand. Then I had to stop because I was already addicted to more of The Great.”
However, Hoult admits there is nothing to complain about. He has critically acclaimed such roles The menu, Taylor Sheridan’s Those Who Wish Me Dead Oscar-winning film the favorite and the upcoming horror film, Nosferatu.
Now he has Renfield Tasks. And he apparently stars in Clint Eastwood’s next movie, Jury #2.
