Hugo Tessitura (The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix) is set to join Gary Oldmann on the Apple TV+ spy drama series Slow horses. Other new cast members include Giovanna Scanlan (Notes on a scandal), Ruth Bradley (Guilt), Tom Brooke (Empire of Light), AND James Callis (Battlestar Galactica).

The series follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence operatives who serve in an MI5 dumping ground department known affectionately as Slough House. Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, “the brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House because of their career-ending mistakes while often finding themselves wandering in the smoke and mirrors of the spy world.”
Adam Randall (I see you) is directing the fourth season, which “will open with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, shaking the already shaky foundations of Slough House.”
The return Slow horses ensemble cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sofia Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan AND Jonathan Pryce.
Apple committed to seasons 3 and 4 even before season 2 aired. Season 2 debuted last December and seasons 3 and 4 were filmed back to back.
This show is so good and Weaving will be a fantastic addition to the series.
