Jon Favreau teases the direction of THE MANDALORIAN season 3 in the remaining episodes

Many Star Wars fans are enjoying the ride that The Mandalorian Season 3 has carried us forward so far and we’re all very, very excited about what’s to come in the remaining episodes. I imagine the events that have taken place and the stories we’ve seen unfold for the characters will lead to an epic season finale.

During the celebration of Star Wars, which took place over the weekend, the creator, writer, director and producer of the series Jon Favreau it teased a few things we can expect, but don’t worry, it doesn’t spoil anything. During an interview with CB, Favreau said:

“Well, you know, if I talk too much about what happens, it’s really going to take away from the viewing experience. So it’s not too long to wait where, you know, there’s a lot of characters and storylines that we’ve threaded through these multiple seasons, some characters return, others are being worked out…everyone has come in from different angles and it all comes to a head when, you know, they have decided to move back to Mandalore… So we have been building this for quite some time and I will tell you I am really happy with how it is came out, and the fun part now is seeing how everyone hangs out with us.”

Whatever happens at the end of the series, we know it will set up a fourth season and the story threads could also connect to Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 and Skeleton Crew. So all these shows will lead to the big movie that Dave Filoni he is directing.

That film will “close” the interconnected stories, and it has been explained that it will follow “the escalating war between the Imperials and the fledgling New Republic.” When Favreau was asked if he had an ending in mind for The Mandalorian, he said:

“No, I don’t. I think the beauty of this is that it’s a central chapter in a much larger story. broad and scale, but it’s not like there’s an ending that we’re building that I have in mind. On the contrary, I like that these stories go on and on. And so these characters could potentially be with us for a while, and I really love telling stories with their voice, and I love the way adventures unfold and I’m looking forward to so much more.”

That said, it’s safe to say the stories of some of these Star Wars characters will continue after Filoni’s film. At least I hope they do!
