This week’s guest is Ralph Macchio.
Macchio says he has been wearing Daniel LaRusso shoes for a very long time. Since 1984, when he first appeared in the role of The Karate Kid. Two sequels and 34 years later, Cobra Kai is born. The key Karate kid Characters were back! In a TV series! Only now “child” was perhaps no longer an appropriate title. Sure, those who loved the original film and legions of brand new fans leaned intensely into the reinvented world of middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and his nemesis Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).
After two seasons on YouTube Red, Netflix shot through Cobra Kai, and now we enter the sixth and final season. During this podcast chat, Macchio – also an EP on the show – explains that while filming hasn’t started and he hasn’t seen the script, he has an idea of the overall plot.
