Dave Filonianimated series of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is officially getting a second season! Unfortunately Filoni did not provide other details. Season 1 consisted of six great short episodes and half of them expanded on Ahsoka Tano’s story. The other half of the episodes expanded on Count Dooku’s story and even included it Liam Neesonis Qui-Gon Jinn. The episodes also included several charmers Star Wars revelations, including the fate of Jedi Master Yaddle.
The shorts feature “parables built around prequel-era Jedi. Journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi, Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, each will be tested as they make choices that will define their destinies.
Speaking previously about the show, Filoni said, “I’ve thought a lot about this adventure for Ahsoka, and it’s interesting to see how she’s evolved. Years ago, I never would have guessed that she was born from a tree branch that had something dealing with a boy [like] Din Djarin, or a child who looks like Yoda. It’s a big lesson for me about how, when you have other creatives like Jon Favreau, they can help you bring such dimension and depth to what you’re doing.”
We have no idea what season 2 will involve or which characters it will focus on, but I imagine Ahsoka Tano will continue to be a part of it. If he returns, we can expect Ashley Eckstein to reprise her role.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+ and if you haven’t seen it, you should watch it!
