Mark Hamill and his Return of the Jedi helix lightsaber reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clip
Huyang is an age-old droid who was voiced by David Tennan and was confirmed a Star Wars Celebration for Tennant reprising his role! When it comes to his return, Dave Filoni he said, “You must have it. She makes it work.
The character made his own Star Wars debut at The Clone Warsin a story that follows Master Yoda and Ahsoka Tano as they lead a group of young Jedi on the frigid planet of Ilum.
The quest is a trial where young people are given challenges to overcome their fears and are tasked with returning a kyber crystal to the Jedi Temple. Huyang is the droid who tutored the youngsters in making their own lightsabers.
Huyang told the young men, “From the Battles of Rashfond, to keeping the peace of Parliock, to our own Clone Wars, the lightsaber is a Jedi’s only true ally. But how do they work? Hmm? Yes, you brought me some crystals, but they are all useless unless you give them life. Do you know how to awaken the Force inside the crystal? No? Then I suggest you listen and learn until you come up with a question that this droid cannot answer .”
One of the things that makes this character so interesting and cool is that he has the stored knowledge for the plans of every lightsaber that has ever been built under his control. Now, this droid is back in action and working with Ahsoka Tano which is awesome!
The series is set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka “follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) while investigating an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Ahsoka and Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) are on the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) in the hope that it will lead them to find the lost Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi who disappeared with Thrawn many years ago. The series directly follows on from several threads from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.
The video also confirms it Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Hera Syndulla and the droid, Chopper, is also back. We also get our first look at Grand Admiral Thrawn and the trailer teases the whole “Heir to the Empire” thing, which was a neat nod to Timothy Zahn’s iconic Extended Universe novels.
The series is also starring Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Ivanna Sakhno, Eman Esfandi like EzraAND Ray Stevenson. The limited series is written by Dave Filoni which produces executive along with Jon Favreau AND Kathleen Kennedy.
The series will debut exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023.
