“We started shooting in November. We’re halfway there [through production]. We’ll finish shooting in August, one year later, and we’ll be released the following August.”

AS, Andor Season 2 will premiere in August 2024! Yes, we still have over a year to go, but there are many more Star Wars upcoming projects that will keep fans entertained. Gilroy also teased the end of the series, sharing that the creative team knows “exactly where we’re going” and that it was “creatively powerful” to know where the story is going.

“If you know your ending, it really helps. We know exactly where we are going. You know what you have to convey emotionally and what the story has to do. It’s a decision born out of survival, but it’s good for us creatively.

The second season will conclude the series and take us through the years of Diego Lunais Cassian Andor’s journey as a spy for The Rebellion and how he tracked down the secret to building The Death Star. The story leads directly to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

As for the footage that was shared, Gizmodo offers details and “teased the return of key characters, including rebel cell members Vel Sartha and Luthen Rael (in and out of his antiquities dealer disguise), as well as Syril Karn, who appears to have risen into the world and been thrust into an upper class of Imperial citizenry. Scenes also showed Mon Mothma slowly building alliances, trying to bring her disparate senatorial and rebel worlds together as dissension grows across the galaxy. Shots showed a protest guarded by Stormtroopers, where violence erupts with lots of explosions and lots of chaos, but at the center of it all were shots of Cassian, both prowling the corridors and apparently posing as a rebel spy. trailer concluded with Luthen echoing his season 1 comment: “Don’t you really want to fight these bastards?” slash.

Someday the rest of us will see this footage for our own, but for now, this is all we have, unless you were lucky enough to be at Star Wars Celebrate to see it live!

The first season of Andor it’s been incredible, and I’m so excited to see the story continue to unfold throughout season two. It’s kind of funny how the fans weren’t initially thrilled with this series at all, and then it ended up being one of the best and most interesting stories told in the world. Star Wars franchise.
