Katee Sackhoff on how uncomfortable the Viper ship was in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA compared to the Guantlet in THE MANDLAORIAN

Katee Sackoff has spent a lot of time working on a few genre projects over the years, one of the coolest roles was when he played Lieutenant Starbuck in the Battlestar Galactica 2000s reboot. She was so amazing on that show and it was an amazing character for her to play.

Now she’s back in sci-fi action thanks to Star Wars series The Mandalorian where she plays the Mandalorian warrior, Bo-Katan Kryze, and fans are loving how her story arc is unfolding! But she, in each of the shows, she gets to fly in a few iconic vehicles… Starbuck’s Viper starfighter in Battlestar and Bo-Katan’s Kom’rk-class fighter/transport ship, The Gauntlet .

During a recent interview with CB at MegaCon Orlando, Sackhoff was asked about the two ships and which was the most comfortable to play on. The Viper ship was and how one day she got trapped in it because the Battlestar crew forgot she was in it!

“I was famously left in my Viper over lunch one day. They forgot about me. Because like once you were there, you’re there. Like they harness you to five points; there’s a tube they would put in the back of the your suit because it’s so hot in there and the helmet had no airflow so you just walked in and it was like a perfect scenario to fall asleep, and they left me in there…so it might really be the most comfortable [laughs]. With all its equipment, it’s probably the most comfortable.

So, Bo-Katan’s Gauntlet ship is the most comfortable to travel on, but if you’re looking to take a nap, then… the Viper. I just thought it was a funny story he told. It would have sucked to have been trapped in that thing!

There’s a lot of hype around Sackhoff right now due to her character’s arc in The Mandalorian, and it must be so great for her that her character is becoming one of the most interesting and beloved in Star Wars right now.
