Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey in the near future war of stars Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct, while Dave Filoni and James Mangold will direct other films in the franchise.
The news was revealed this morning at the Star Wars Celebration in London, where Ridley made a guest appearance. Your film by Obaid-Chinoy, written by Peaky Blinders Creator Steven Knight is set after the events of their previous film in the franchise, Episode IX: the rise of skywalker, and how she is building a new Jedi order. Meanwhile, Dave Filoni and James Mangold will helm the other two new films in the franchise, one about the beginnings of the Jedi and the other about the New Republic.
Star Wars Celebration also saw appearances from rising stars including Jude Law and Rosario Dawson The Mandalorian spin-offs skeleton crew And Ahsoka. The latter has unveiled a trailer and will be next in the Disney+ lineup in August 2023.
