Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for the upcoming documentary film Again: a film by Michael J. Fox. I had the opportunity to watch this film at Sundance earlier this year and loved it! I have been a fan of Michael J. Fox ever since I was a child, and this film takes the audience on a wonderful and emotional journey through their life.

While I was a fan of Fox through the movies he made and the characters he portrayed throughout his career, I knew nothing of what kind of person he was outside of that. This documentary opens the curtain on his life and invites fans to see who Fox really is as a person, the good, the bad and the ugly. You can read my review of the film here.
Incorporating documentary, archival and scripted elements, the film will “tell Fox’s remarkable story in his own words – the unlikely tale of an undersized boy from a Canadian Army base who rose to the heights of stardom in the 80’s Hollywood. Filled with nostalgic thrills and cinematic polish, Fox’s public life will unfold alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years following his 29-year-old diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film will chronicle Fox’s personal and professional triumphs and tribulations and explore what happens when an incurable optimist faces an incurable disease. With a mix of adventure and romance, comedy and drama, watching the movie will feel… well, like a Michael J. Fox movie.
It said in my review, “It’s such a beautiful story and it’s told in an incredibly beautiful and engaging way! He uses footage from his projects, including behind-the-scenes footage, and mixes it together with footage shot for the documentary. The whole story is told by Fox, though, in his own words. You’ll get a taste of it in this trailer.
I also said, “The film is an emotional and moving portrayal of Fox’s life, but at the same time it’s filled with humor that will make you laugh and fill you with nostalgia as it takes you back to the 80s and 90s. “
Again: A Story by Michael J. Fox is out May 12 on Apple TV+ and I can’t wait for you all to see it.
