‘American Idol’ Recap: A key player suddenly walks out of a round of tearful, intense duets

OR american idol duos can make or break the contestants. This season, the singers choose their duet mates. Platinum ticket winner Elias McCormick spikes lucia love as your partner. They are the first duo to perform for the judges.

Her cover of “My Girl” by the temptations it’s a slam dunk. They have great chemistry. “And That’s How You Do It” Lionel Richie declare. Katy Perry he tells the pair that he’s “never heard ‘My Girl’ like this” before. The judges quickly decide that Elijah and Lucy will go to the Showstoppers round.

nutsa AND by Carina DeAngelo the collaboration starts well but slowly evolves as the night progresses. Nutsa ends up going to bed early and wants to finish putting the duet together in the morning, which is not what Carina had in mind.

Nutsa finally comes down the stairs and feels confident in her abilities. Carina believes that this version showcases only Nutsa’s best qualities. Before her performance, Carina told the judges that she and Nutsa had “some issues.” She adds, “Some people wanted to sleep instead of work.”

The performance of “I Put A Spell On You” is good, but it feels like they are two separate performances. Lionel notes that they have two completely different styles and “I felt the tension” between them. “The power has been broken,” Katy says. The judges decide to push Nutsa forward, but for Carina it’s the end. Katy insists that Nutsa not “forget about the fun”.

Zechariah blacksmith AND isaac brown decide in advance to run Elton John’s house “I’m Still Standing”, but it turns out to be a very difficult song for them. After working through the night, the two forget the words in the essays. Both have to lean on their phones as they start their presentation. Katy stops them and tells them to sing along.

Zachariah forgets some of the lyrics in the beginning. Isaac too. They start working on it and make it work. Luke admits that he and the judges wanted “better execution and more preparation” from them. The judges discuss the fate of Zacharias and Isaac. Both manage to survive because the judges love teamwork.

Platinum ticket winner Tyson Venegas choose the Platinum Ticketer companion Kaylin Hedges as your duet partner. Its performance Queen “Don’t Stop Me Now” is a very strong showcase of her vocals. Lionel tells the singers that they “complete each other perfectly”. Katy admits she had chills all over her body. Tyson and Kaylin move on. “She might be the biggest star we’ve ever met,” says Luke of Tyson.

country boys Preston Duffee AND Jon Wayne Hatfield they became fast friends. They choose the song “Buy Dirt” from Jordan Davis and Luke for their duet. The acting is very confident and the judges note how similar their voices are. They decide to stay with Preston but send Jon Wayne home. Luke encourages the two to remain friends.

they are tongs AND Oliver Steel connect with your parents and decide to be a duet couple. Just before his performance, Iam’s guitar breaks. His father gave him that guitar and he’s devastated. He has to change guitar at the last moment, which takes away his confidence.

Iam burst into tears when Luke mentions the guitar. Luke promises they will fix it for him. Iam and Oliver offer great and unique insight Weekend “Save your tears.” I’m mixing some lyrics, but it works. Platinum ticket winner cam amen spikes valerian being his duet partner because he immediately connected to J’s story. In the middle of rehearsals, J packs his bags and leaves. They say they are withdrawing from the competition. Cam continues as a solo performance.

However, J shows up at the last minute. They apologize to Cam and still want to duet. The lack of preparation is evident in the performance, but they make the most of it. The judges appreciate how J helped Cam during the performance and also appreciate how compassionate Cam was to J. They both move on.

kaya stewart AND Fire they are the last duo to perform. While you work on your performance by Adam Lambert “What do you want from me?” Kaya gets sicker and sicker.

Kaya doesn’t think acting now is a “fair representation” of her as a singer, nor is it fair to Fire. The two take the stage, but Kaya tells the judges beforehand that she felt ill earlier in Hollywood week. “I’ve decided not to introduce myself,” she says.

Katy asks Kaya if that means she’s leaving the competition. “So not performing means I will no longer enter the competition,” Kaya told the judges. She cries and leaves the stage. Katy is amazed.

Fire breaks down in tears after being left upstairs alone. Katy asks the contestants in the audience who would like to sing with Fire. Jayna appears and sings with her. Jayna and Fire sing the song together and Katy breaks down in tears when she sees Fire crying.

Katy is beyond proud of Fire for not giving up. The judges send Fire to the next round. Jayna is there to support her through everything. Outside the auditorium, Kaya is still hanging around and hugging Fire. There’s only one more round of Hollywood Week left: Showstoppers. Afterwards, the judges will make their final judgment and compile their best 24.
