It seems Marvel Studios may have gotten another great legendary actor. According to Jeff Sneider on the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast, Ed Harris it is rumored that he will join Marvel Wonder Man series in a major role.

If Harris ends up joining the project, he will reportedly play Simon Williams/Wonder Man’s agent Neal Saroyan, who will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman). The series is also starring Demetrius Grosse like grim reaper, Lauren Glazier in a mysterious role, e Ben Kingsley will return as Trevor Slattery.
Wonder Man series was developed by Shang Chi director and producer Destin Daniel Cretton AND Andrew Guest (Hawk eye) serves as head writer and executive producer. It will also be directed by The spectacular now AND Narrowing‘S James Ponsoldt.
Wonder Man’s real name is Simon Williams, “the son of a wealthy industrialist whose company is going through difficult times due to competition from Tony Stark’s Stark Industries. As a result, Williams accepts an offer from the villain Baron Zemo which grants him ionic superpowers including super strength and durability. After battling the Avengers multiple times, Wonder Man eventually joined their ranks.
Wonder Man was supposed to make a small cameo in the 2017 James Gunn film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2with Nathan Fillion in the role. Fillion’s Wonder Man was supposed to appear in a series of in-universe movie posters during a sequence set on Earth, but was ultimately cut from the film.
