Adam Sandler AND Jennifer Aniston reprises the fan-favorite roles of Nick and Audrey Spitz in the highly anticipated Netflix film murder mystery 2, which will be released on March 31st. The night before the wedding, the Maharaja is kidnapped and held for a ransom of $70 million. Immediately, Nick and Audrey don their detective hats to solve this mystery and catch Vik before it’s too late. They put together a list of suspects, including the Maharaja’s boyfriend, ex-girlfriend and sister.

Dashing Conner Miller, a former MI6 hostage negotiator, arrives early to take charge of the investigation. However, the kidnappers ask Nick and Audrey to deliver the ransom money to Paris. When they arrive in Paris, the investigation immediately takes a dangerous turn.

Nick and Audrey demand that all possible suspects meet them at the Eiffel Tower. The Maharaja arrives in an elevator with a bomb strapped to his chest. The kidnappers want the money now. Nick, after reading Conner’s book, knows that the bomb won’t go off before the kidnappers get the ransom money.

Soon there is another explosion. Conner is still alive and has been behind the kidnapping since the beginning. He also plans to kill them all. Conner takes the ransom money and prepares to leave, but Audrey jumps on his back. Both end up hanging from the Eiffel Tower. They make it to the top and Conner reveals that he too will blow up the Parisian landmark.

Nick fights Conner’s henchmen while Audrey and Conner face off atop the Eiffel Tower. He still has the ransom money in hand. In a fight, Audrey is thrown off the edge of the Eiffel Tower and is left hanging by a thread. Nick and Conner fight while Audrey tries to get to safety. The ransom money ends up flying everywhere. Audrey picks up the gun that dropped during Nick and Conner’s fight.

He accidentally shoots Nick while aiming for Conner. But Audrey is smart and has a plan B. She knows Conner is still attached to her cable, so they throw him over the railing and out of the Eiffel Tower. She lands right on top of the helicopter she is about to use a machine gun to kill the others. Conner isn’t safe for long. He is killed by the helicopter’s wings, which causes a huge explosion and crash.

Nick, Audrey and the others think they are safe now that Conner is dead, but a final twist is coming. As everyone relaxes, Audrey thinks Saira, the Maharaja’s sister, is bleeding. Saira says her henna is just smudged. This makes Audrey stop. Something is not right.

Audrey confronts Saira in front of everyone. She never saw Saira during the homecoming dance and appeared shortly after the elephant’s arrival at the island party. Audrey points out a major flaw in Saira’s master plan. “Once the henna hardens, she doesn’t stain,” says Audrey.

Saira tries to deny her involvement, but she was exposed. She is also behind the kidnapping of her brother because she was angry that her parents gave her the family business. She takes a gun and tries to kill her brother. Still, but the maharajah shoots the colonel. Saira is about to give it another go when Claudette knocks her out with a briefcase. “Not in my city,” she says.

After all that has happened, the Maharaja and Claudette decide to run away. Nick and Audrey go to the Love Lock Bridge and leave a padlock there. The Maharaja gives them a grant of $10 million and tells them they can go wherever they want for the honeymoon they deserve.

During the journey, the helicopter pilot, who initially handed them the bag with the money, holds them at gunpoint and demands that they hand over the bag to him. He takes the bag of money and jumps out of the helicopter, leaving Nick and Audrey where they started.

For those wondering, there isn’t a murder mystery 2 post-credits scene. Luckily Nick or Audrey can fly a helicopter!
