Quentin Tarantino recently took part in a Q&A event at the Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France. While there, he teased some details about his next final film project The film critic. One of the big news that came out of it was that he debunked a theory that the story will center on world-renowned novelist Pauline Kael.

Kael was “one of the most influential film critics of all time. Kael, who died in 2001, was not only a critic but also an essayist and novelist. She was known for her feuds with editors and cinematographers. While the director has deep respect for Kael, she won’t be the focus of his film.
During the event, Tarantino also revealed that the film will start shooting in Los Angeles this fall and the story will be set in 1977.
Other than that, we have no other information to share. We have no idea what the story will be about, but I’m excited to find out!
