A few years ago it was announced that Chris Carter was developing a X files animated series titled The X Files: Albuquerque. I was actually kind of excited to see the show come to fruition, but unfortunately it’s no longer going forward at Fox.

The news comes not long after Carter revealed it Black Panther AND I believe director Ryan Coogler he was developing his own live-action X-Files series. It has been explained that the series will feature a diverse cast.
As for the animated series, it would have revolved around an “office full of misfit agents investigating X-Files cases too wacky, ridiculous, or downright stupid for Mulder and Scully to care.” It is explained that these agents are basically the X-Files B-team.
The project was developed by Rocky Russo AND Jeremy Sosenko, as writers and executive producers. Carter was attached as executive producer.
I’m disappointed this show isn’t happening. It could have been fun! Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Coogler has in store for his series.
