There’s a lot of crazy, intense, fast-paced action in the film, and when there’s so much going on with so many stunts, you can bet someone’s going to get hurt. You can bet those stuntmen walked away with a few bumps, scrapes, bumps, cuts and bone fractures.
During an interview with CB, Keanu Reeves talked about some of the incidents that happened during the filming of the film. One of those incidents involved Reeves ripping someone’s head open! When asked about the on-set incidents, Reeves said:
“Well, I mean, everyone’s pretty tired, but it’s the best kind of tiredness. It’s like you’ve climbed a mountain now that you’re resting; like you’ve finished the game and won. So, in terms of crashes: I’ve made a mistake once… I ripped open a gentleman’s head. So it really sucked (excuse my language). But other than that, oh, some dude was hit by a car. He was in a car, so He had to go to the hospital, but he was fine.”
After seeing the movie, you’d think there would be more! But it’s nice to know that everyone seems really good at their job, making these movies and avoiding insanely serious injuries.
Reeves had already said so John Wick: Chapter 4 it was the hardest film I ever made, saying, “John Wick 4 it’s the hardest movie I’ve ever done. In terms of action, it’s the hardest movie I’ve ever made. But that’s what makes it good”. As you’ll see in the movie, all that hard work paid off! The fight scenes in this movie are some of the best ever shot on film!
John Wick: Chapter 4 was helmed by Chad Stahelskiand the cast also includes Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Ian McShaneAND Bill Skarsgard as the sinister main villain.
