‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is off to a strong start in early overseas runs

With overseas release beginning Wednesday, Lionsgate/Thunder Road Films/87 Eleven’s John Wick: Chapter 4 started strong at the international box office. In just a handful of markets, the numbers we’re hearing are around $3.9 million, including Thursday’s launches in Australia and New Zealand. The completion of the tip begins, New Zealand raised $140,000 by Thursday, 36% JW3; Sweden ($100,000) and Finland ($74,000) both open JW4 Wednesday in 1st place. The start in Sweden was 105% ahead JW3 while Finland was on par with this film.
