Fresh off her big Oscar win for her role in Everything everywhere all at once, Jamie Lee Curtis is set to appear in Amazon’s upcoming comedy series The sticky. She will guest star in the series inspired by the true story of the “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist,” in which 70% of the world’s maple syrup supply was stolen.

Curtis, who is also a producer on the series, is joined by co-stars Margo Martindale, Chris DiamantopulosAND Guillaume Cyr. The series was created by Brian Donova AND Ed Herro and directed by Michael Dowse AND Joyce Wong.
The official description of the series reads: “’The Sticky’ revolves around Ruth Landry (Martindale), a tough and extremely competent maple syrup farmer who has had problems with being surrounded by the bureaucratic and polite conventions typical of the identity of his country. Especially now that that same bureaucracy threatens to take away everything she loves: her farm, her comatose husband and her right to freedom. With the help of Remy Bouchard (Cyr), a mild-mannered security guard, and Mike Byrne (Diamantopoulos), a low-level mobster, Ruth changes her fate and transforms the future of her community by stealing millions of dollars. maple syrup is worth it.
Production on the series is now underway in and around Montreal.
