Original villain hides out in ‘Power Rangers: Once & Always’ reunion

Less than a month away from the premiere of the ‘Power Rangers’ original series character reunion, Netflix revealed new previews including photos and a trailer that thrilled the ’90s generation who grew up watching the colorfully dressed offbeat heroes save the world from alien invaders and other monsters. AS, the original actors are backbut they don’t come alone, a villain has returned to ruin their adventure.

Netflix premieres “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always” on April 19 of 2023 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original series, and for this has reunited the original cast for this new project. And not only do the color heroes return, but also the main villain of the series; the Power Rangers have to face Rita Repulsa, and this is highlighted by the new trailer.

The special celebrating 30 years of the original series features actors Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack Taylor (the first Black Ranger), Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos (the second Red Ranger), Billy Cranston (the first Blue Ranger), Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park (the second Black Ranger), Catherine Sutherland as Kat Hillard (the second Pink Ranger), plus Karan Ashley as Aisha Campbell (the second Yellow Ranger).

Villain Rita Repulsa, who appears in one of the previews of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’, returns for the special prepared by Netflix, starring the actress who originally brought him to life in the first series, Barbara Goodson. And not only that, we will also see Richard Horvitz as Alpha 5, Zordon’s robot assistant.

The Power Rangers are back, but who is Rita Repulsa?

Rita Repulsa is a fictional character from the Power Rangers franchise; The villain first appeared in the original television series that aired in 1993 and became known to audiences for being a powerful sorceress who was imprisoned for thousands of years before astronauts accidentally freed her. Upon her release, she sets out to conquer planet Earth.

From her villain persona, it’s impossible to forget her cackling laugh, her over-the-top personality, and her passion for creating monsters to defeat the Power Rangers as usual, even though she actually didn’t often succeed, and was always allied with Goldar and Finster, to carry out his plans.
