‘Shazam! ‘Fury Of The Gods’: Zachary Levi Talks To Snyder Fans, Says Marketing Was Box Office’s ‘Biggest Problem’

Zachary Levi, star of Shazam! wrath of the godsopens on the box office results of the DC film series falling below the already low projections the studio had for the film.

A fan of the actor tweeted about the “disappointment” the superhero film had at the box office and asked not to blame Snyder fans.

“Hmmm. Where did you get the idea that I blame the Snyder fans?” Levi replied Twitter.

Another fan said that the power of the Snyder fans, the moviegoers invested in the DC Universe created by Zack Snyder, is “happy about the film’s failure.” Levi partially agreed with the comment and went on to say that marketing was the reason the film underperformed at the box office.

“That’s right too. Sad but true. How much it actually affects the box office is unclear. But I think marketing is the biggest problem we have. This is a perfect family film, and yet many families don’t know about it. It’s just too bad, Levi tweeted.

In response to another Twitter user, Levi listed the Snyder movies he is a fan of tweet“Right I will, rich rich! From all his films 300 still holds a top spot for me. But from his DC titles I would say [Man of Steel].”

Levi also explained his position to Snyder fans add“I have no problem with Snyder fans. Heck, I’ve been in almost all of his films myself. My problem is with anyone who wants to destroy something simply because it is not what they want. It comes from hate, not love.”
