The incurable disease of Bruce Willis
Through a statement, Bruce Willis’ family confirmed that frontotemporal dementia is a condition for which “there is no cure”. And he adds that it is “a reality that we hope will change in the coming years. We hope the media can pay more attention and focus on publicizing this disease, which needs to be further investigated.”
Frontotemporal dementia is most common among people under the age of 60, appearing in 10-20% of those diagnosed with dementia. According to various associations, people with this condition can live up to 10 years, in the best case, and, conversely, life expectancy is only 2 years for those with a serious state of health.
