Willem Dafoe is set to play Green Goblin again if Marvel wanted it

Willem Dafoe he’s been amazing playing the Green Goblin over the years Spiderman film and his performance in Spider-Man: There’s no way back home it was amazing! He was seriously the perfect version of the Green Goblin and if that was the last we saw of this version of Dafoe’s character, it was a great way to end the character of him.

But! If Marvel decides they want to bring Dafoe back as the Green Goblin, it’s good to know that the actor is ready to return to reprise the role. During a recent interview with Inverse, Dafoe was asked about the possibility of returning, and he said:

“Hopefully, sure. I mean, it’s a great role. I liked the fact that it’s a dual role both times. Twenty years ago, and quite recently, both times [were] very different experiences, but I enjoyed both.”

When previously discussing reprising his role in No Way Home, Dafoe said there was one condition he imposed before accepting the role. That condition was that he wanted to be in all the action:

“Doing these physical things was important to me. In fact, one of the first things I said to Jon [Watts] and Ami [Pascal]basically when they pitched it to me before there was even a script, it was, ‘Listen, I don’t want to just appear there as a cameo or just put in some close-ups. I want to do the action because it’s fun for me.’ Also, it’s really impossible to add any integrity or fun to the character if you don’t participate in those things. Because all that action stuff informs your relationships with the characters and the story. It earns you the right to play the character, in a fun way.

It would be really cool to see Dafoe as the Green Goblin again one day. Everything is possible! But if it does, it won’t last long. Would you like to see Dafoe as the Green Goblin again!?
