4 horror films that have been considered cursed in cinema (Courtesy)
“Cursed” horror movies are what they were associated with tragic or unusual events surrounding its production or throw, and which some interpret as a sort of curse. These events may include accidents, injuries, illnesses, deaths or other unforeseen events that occur during or after the production of the footage; in the case of “cursed” horror films, many believe that paranormal events may have taken over their cast.
There are other special cases outside of horror films, such as ‘The Raven’ (1994), which while not a horror film, is considered cursed because during filming, the lead actor, Brandon Lee, is died in an accident involving a gun that was supposed to contain dummy bullets. Many believe that the movie is cursed because of this tragic event. But then I present to you four cursed horror films, which have caused events, presumably paranormal.
“The Exorcist” (1973)
Various accidents and strange events are said to have occurred during the film’s production, including the death of an actor and a fire that destroyed part of the set. Also, after the film’s release, some theaters reported riots and people fainting during screenings.

“Poltergeist” (1982)
Several members of the film’s cast and crew died shortly after the film’s release, including the actress. Heather O’Rourke, who played the lead role. Also, there were rumors that the production used real human skeletons for some scenes, which allegedly brought a curse on the film.

“The Prophecy” (1976)
This film is about the Antichrist, and several bizarre accidents and events occurred during its production, such as a plane crashing near the set. Also, the lead actor, Gregory Peck, canceled a flight that later crashed, leading some to believe that the film is cursed.
“Macbet” (1971)
The movie was cursed from the start, as the lead actor, Jon Finch, was injured on set during filming and broke his foot. Also, the director, Roman Polanski, suffered a great personal tragedy when his wife, Sharon Tate, was murdered by the Manson family while she was pregnant.
In some cases, these films are believed to have unleashed supernatural or spiritual forces that affected the actors or the production team. In other cases, the curse can be seen as a kind of divine punishment for making a film that is considered offensive or blasphemous.
In fact, most of the events associated with the “cursed” films can be explained either as coincidences or as a result of the risky and challenging nature of the film industry. However, the urban legends and rumors surrounding these movies often create mystery and fascination among horror movie fans.
