Jason David Frank’s Final Project, LEGEND OF THE WHITE DRAGON Gets Poster and Fall Theater Release

Jason David Frankfinal film project of, The Legend of the White Dragon, will be released in theaters this fall! The news comes from Bat in the Sun Productions, Bascule Productions Ltd and Falling Forward Films and they have also released a poster that is sure to excite fans.

While there’s no exact release date yet, the press release does state that the film will be in theaters “in conjunction with what would have been Jason David Frank’s 50th birthday,” which would have fallen in September.

The press release shares, “When Jason David Frank tragically took his own life late last year, it became the director’s mission to honor his legacy by completing the film the way Frank envisioned it. Frank was a beloved actor who he still has a great emotional impact on fans around the world. He was a world-renowned and acclaimed martial artist, who brought that same passion to his on-screen performances. In this film, Jason David Frank plays Erik Reed, a complex character who it really allowed him to showcase his incredible range as an actor.

Director and film co-star Aaron Schoenke said in a statement, “We are proud to have worked with such a talented actor and are grateful for the opportunity to share his final performance with the world. After embarking on this journey with Jason for 10 years, I know he’d be beyond excited to hear Legend of the White Dragon hits theaters.”

Producer Sean Schoenke added: “Despite the huge loss, the production team have worked tirelessly to complete the film and ensure it meets the high standards Jason set for himself. The result is a powerful and moving tribute to his talent and to his dedication”.

In the film, Frank plays Erik Reed, “a disgraced hero who goes into exile following a horrific event known as The Aftermath, which has left a city in ruins. Blamed for the catastrophe, the city’s protectors were stripped of their titles and hunted down.

“After being a fugitive on the run for three years, the White Dragon has returned to the city he fought for. Now he must clear his name and save the family he keeps secret before the mysterious Dragon Prime unleashes his vengeance on the White Dragon .”

Speaking earlier about the project, Frank said: “The public, I think, will really relate to Erik Reed because he’s completely different than Tommy Oliver. And I think if they can figure out what mine is… It has no relation to everything, but I’m saying as far as my audience, it’s a deeper, older, I wouldn’t say Tommy Oliver version at all. It’s a completely different character. But what they’re going to see is Jason David Frank in a more mature role, in the sense which is… I can finally express on television, it’s not for kids, nothing that’s PG-13.”

He added: “For example. I don’t think our older characters could ever relate or express themselves like a normal teenager would nowadays. Many teenagers or children deal with depression, especially during this quarantine. No one really thinks about the aspect of life. depression. So I feel like they can relate to a more realistic life, which means we all have issues that we deal with. You’ll see that in Erik Reed. We all have regrets that we’ve dealt with. Believe it or not no, everyone’s life is a bit complex, which perhaps only you can understand”.

The Legend of the White Dragon even stars Marco Dacasco (John Wick: Chapter 3), King Bach (Walking Dead, Greenland), Michael Madsen (Kill Bill 1 and 2, Sin City), David Ramsey (Arrow, Lightning), Aaron Schoenke, Jason Faunt, Rachel Brooke Smith, Clare Hanna, Kevin Porter, Mayling Ng, Cerina Vincenzo AND Jenna Rae Frank.
