Amazon Studios hired the director Jeremy Podeswa (Station 11, game of Thrones) to direct the pilot episode of his highly anticipated Blade Runner 2099 series. He will also serve as production director and as executive producer.

Ridley Scott is producing the project and will also reportedly direct a few episodes of the show, and it was recently reported that Jodie Comer (Eve killing, Free boy) is in talks to star in the series. Silk Louise (Brilliant girls) will serve as writer, showrunner and executive producer.
Michael Greenwho wrote the film Blade Runner 2049will serve as a non-writing executive producer, alongside the co-founders of Alcon Entertainment Andrew Kosovo AND Broderick Johnsonhead of television at Alcon Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker AND Clayton Kruger of Scott Free Productions, Cynthia Yorkin, Franco GiustraAND Isa Dick Hackett. Tom Spezialy has joined the writers room and will also serve as an executive producer.
While there are no story details, the story will be set 50 years after the sequel, which was set 30 years after the original. It will be really interesting to see how this series ends up.
