The manufacturer has a major series project for the American television channel FX, owned by The Walt Disney Company, which he will develop together with Hannah Fidell, creator of the series ‘A Teacher’ and director of two episodes of ‘Casual’ and one of ‘The Act’. Both will be co-creators and co-writers and according to Variety it is Fidell who wrote to “contemporary version” from Chase’s original script, though no further details of the plot have been revealed, which may or may not revolve around its recurring theme: the Mafia. Sequel to “The Sopranos”?

Despite the fact that the ‘The Sopranos’ prequel didn’t get the best billboard numbers, ‘Criminal Saints’ gave the original series a second boost. At the time, Chase spoke about it, admitting that he would have liked to write the story of the years between the film, set in the 60s and 70s, and the series, close to the turn of the century. Therefore, it could be that we are faced with a sequel to the film and a prequel to the series, although this is all hypothetical.: Chase has already said that if he had jumped into this project, he would have wanted Terrence Winter, series producer and Oscar nominee for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, to write the screenplay with him.
