Season 4 of ‘YOU’ spirals insanity that crosses the line between confusion and surprise – Netflix (Courtesy)
The wait to see Joe Goldberg in London is finally over all 10 episodes of season 4 of “YOU” are now available on Netflix and despite its slow start with the first part which debuted in February, the second manages to take full advantage of the fan-favorite asset, but sadly crosses the line and falls into confusion.
It’s clear that ‘YOU’ is a fictional series and does not tell the life of a real murderer as in the case of ‘Dahmer’ with Evan Peters, however its plot seems quite real and possible from the first season, something that is lost at the end of season number four, but that was to be expected as the killer’s life took so many turns.
As if the series were biting its tongue, there is a moment where Joe tells Nadia that she should stop giving her novel so many unexpected twists, to keep it simple but coherent, advice that the writing team should have follow while writing. the fourth season script, even if it was about surprising the audience, so they got a little gold star on their forehead.

Unlike the previous seasons, the number four is the one with the most flaws and inconsistencies, but it is also the one that dared to give the most brutal and exciting turn of the 40 chapters that ‘YOU’ has, however it completely forgets to remain alone behind the line between surprises and confusion, and on the way to the end you cross it without looking back.
‘Netflix Makes a Giant Mistake With ‘YOU’ Season 4
To make the most of an already positioned success as it did with ‘Stranger Things’ or ‘La Casa de Papel’, Netflix has made the decision to divide season 4 of ‘YOU’ into two parts, the problem is that they are almost nothing and the first is like a prologue too long and boring, even if necessary to understand the construction of the second.
If Netflix hadn’t separated the story of season 4 from ‘YOU’ then the story could have had a better pace for everything told in the second part and would have reduced the bland context of the first 5 chapters. A serious mistake that we hope will not be repeated in the future, neither with this nor with another series.
‘YOU’ season 4 is not excellent although it has several twists and turns that define its essence from 2018 and give it a nice touch at the end, but it is not bad to the point that Netflix decides to cancel it, so definitely in the soon there will be an expected confirmation announcement regarding season 5, which could be the last of all and give a deserved end to the murderer Joe Goldberg.
