MCU fans have had a wild ride since 2008 when Iron man hit theaters and promised to whisk us away to a world of Avengers, superheroes and villains, both in this world and beyond. He kept that promise, but we’ve had some heartbreaking moments over the years, namely saying goodbye to the hero who started it all, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, played by the charming Robert Downey Jr..

Mark Hamill and his Return of the Jedi helix lightsaber reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clip
He sacrificed himself inside Avengers: Finale and saved the world, and has been missing ever since. But now that we’ve entered a multiverse… could we see Tony Stark again? His co-star Mark Ruffalo he seems to think that’s a possibility.
In a recent appearance at Emerald City Comic-Con for the “Mean and Green: Mark Ruffalo Spotlight” panel (via The Direct), Ruffalo was asked how he felt after losing Iron Man and Captain America in Endgame. He replied:
“Sad, but there is a time machine. And there are alternate universes and realities, so anything could happen.
When asked to clarify whether he was implying that Iron Man and the original Captain America could be seen again in the MCU, the Hulk actor referred to his history of spoilers on Marvel insider news, and said carefully chose his next words:
“[Laughs, looks at the ceiling] Will one of these boards fall on me? Man, are you trying to get me in trouble again? I won’t say it’s not possible, but I won’t say it is.”
Right after Game over, fans seemed eager to permanently shut the door on what happened, not to detract from Iron Man’s sacrifice, but it’s been a few years now… I miss the guy. Would you like to see him come back somehow? Let us know below.
