Everyone has their favorite big screen version of Batman as the character has been played by multiple actors over the years, and to me, Michael Keaton it’s a favorite. I grew up with Keaton’s Batman, I still remember seeing him Tim BurtonThe film premieres at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This is one of my most memorable movie experiences as a kid.

Well, according to a new study by home entertainment furniture company Valencia Theater Seating, Keaton is the most popular live-action Batman in America, at least among Twitter users. The data in the study was pulled from over 150,000 tweets, and the study found that Keaton was the best Batman in 23 states with Cristiano Bale second with 18. Ben Affleck AND Robert Pattinson they finished third and fourth respectively, and I guess there was no love for Adam West, Val KilmerAND George Clooney.

It is explained that the ranking is based on the evaluation of three months old geotagged tweets containing phrases such as “[Keaton/Bale/Clooney] is the best Batman”, “the best Batman”, “GOAT Batman” and “the best live-action Batman”.

Michael Keaton will return as Batman in the upcoming film The flash movie and it’s the only reason I have interest in watching that movie. When previously discussing returning to the role, Keaton said, “Frankly, in the back of my head, I’ve always thought, ‘I bet I could go back and nail that motherfucker. And so, I was like, ‘Well, now who are asking, let me see if I can do it.'”

He talked about stepping back into the role saying, “[It was] strangely and ironically easy. A little emotional. Just a wave of memories. Without revealing anything, which I can’t, basically the first shot, not of the entire film but let’s say the introduction [of Batman], it’s so good that when we walked in and started talking about a couple of shots and the angles, I was like ‘whoa, this is great. This is great.’ I don’t even mean for me. Just the pictures, it’s great. And it’s reminiscent, to some extent, of Tim Burton.”

What do you think of this new study? Are you on the Keaton team? Otherwise who is your favorite Batman?
