It’s hot here! Apple TV+ didn’t just join knives out stars Ana de Armas34, and Chris Evans41, for his new romantic comedy, Ghost, but they also shared a warm kiss! The trailer dropped on Monday and wasted no time getting to the good stuff. At the beginning of the clip (watch it here), the brunette beauty and Chris share a kiss before she asks him out for coffee. The trailer later revealed that the film will also have some action as her (Cole) character is kidnapped and later rescued by Ana’s (Sadie) character.
When the two are involved in a near-death experience, Sadie reveals she’s part of the CIA, which of course surprises Cole. After she cheated on him over a text and ran away to London, her would-be love interest followed her and set his sights on winning her affections. “You kidnapped and tortured me after just one date!” Chris’ character exclaimed to Sadie as they ran away from an explosion. “This is bigger than you and me,” she told Cole. Later, Sadie is being chased by a bounty hunter while Cole joins her in an attempt to escape her.
Shortly after Apple TV+ and Chris shared the trailer via Instagram, many of his fans flooded the comments with their reactions. “Boy meets girl. Boy meets girl ghost. Chico gets involved in an international spy ring,” the streaming service captioned the clip. “Ana de Armas is emerging as an action star to watch out for!” remarked one admirer, while another commented, “Ahh, this is going to be a nice **let’s go!” And a third fan couldn’t help but point out that this is another Apple TV+ hit: “Actually, it looks fucking awesome. Why does Apple have so many good story writers?
Chris and Ana’s latest project is expected to hit the streaming platform on April 21, 2023, just over a year after the 41-year-old Hollywood heartthrob posted a set photo via Instagram. “The Turner Family Farm #ghost,” she captioned the group photo, alongside a blue heart emoji. In the shot, Ana is shown with her arm around her co-star, while her other co-stars are all smiles. Some of the other actors slated to star in the action packed romance film include Black WidowIn Scarlett Johansson, Blond star adrien brodycomedy legend Amy Sedarisand more.
More recently, Chris has also been busy on the set of other projects, including the 2022 film, the gray manin which it is worth noting that Ana also stars. The two actors have worked together in several films, it is not surprising that they have been snuggled together on screen for Ghost. Another film in which the Boston native will star is Redalong with the action movie legend Dwayne Johnson AND mad Men alum kiernan shipka. Homework at Red One!
