We have a new featurette for Scream VI to watch today, and this one focuses on the new killer Ghostface and how he is the most ruthless and relentless version of the killer yet. The video features interviews with the cast as they talk about Ghostface and also offers some brutal new footage.
It’s been said in the past that this will be “a bolder, bolder Ghostface” who will hunt down and terrorize his prey. In the featurette it is explained that Ghostface is only killing for the sake of killing.
The next chapter in the horror saga “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface murders as they leave Woodsboro behind and begin a new chapter.” They try to start this new chapter of their lives in New York City, and well… things aren’t going too well for them as Ghostface is back in action and on a rampage in the city.
Courtney Cox, who returns as Gale Weathers, previously spoke about the new setting of the franchise saying, “Bringing Ghostface to New York adds a whole new element to the story. Taking the character out of a small town and into the heart of the city that never sleeps is more terrifying than ever.
Co-writer Tyler Gillette previously talked about the pacing of the film and how it too was taken to the next level saying, ‘It really moves like it’s powered by rocket fuel. You sit down, it starts and the movie is just one ride. , and you feel like you haven’t caught your breath. It begins and ends. So there really aren’t these big pockets to talk about other movies. Of course it has all the funny nods and meta-commentary. But we really liked how fast-paced this story is. It felt like a reflection of how fast the process was.”
Radio silence Matt Bettinelli-Olpin AND Tyler Gillette (Scream, ready or not), are both back behind the camera for the upcoming Scream VI.
The cast also includes Melissa Barrara like Sam, Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter, Brown Savoy Jasmin like Mindy, Freemason Gooding like Chad, Samara texture, Liana Liberato, Hayden Panettiere such as Kirby, e Dermot Mulroney. Courtney Cox he also previously confirmed his involvement. Some newcomers include the actor Dermot Mulroney AND Mission Impossible star Henry Czernymore Jack Champion (Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: Water Street), Liana Liberato (Light as a feather), Devyn Nekoda (sneaker), AND Josh Segarra (Adrian Chase of Arrow).
Scream VI will bring Ghostface back to theaters on March 10, 2023.
