Grogu is 50 years old and has Jedi training under his belt from his time with Luke Skywalker. When we see Grogu in the first episode of The Mandalorian In Season 3 we can see that he’s grown a little bit and over the course of the season he’s going to grow a little more.

Mark Hamill and his Return of the Jedi helix lightsaber reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clip
During an interview with USA Today, writer, showrunner and producer Jon Favreau teased Grogu’s growth by saying that he is “no longer this helpless child” that he seemed to be in past seasons, and that he has “leveled up”, which will change the nature of his relationship with his guardian, Din Djarin.
Favreau explains: “They have to figure out how to be together now that he’s no longer a parent and a newborn, but a maturing child who can be useful and an apprentice to him. How does this change the dynamic?
I have a feeling we will see Grogu involved a bit more. Instead of watching Mando do his thing, Grogu will spring into action because he has now become a little more confident in his abilities than he is. At the same time, Grogu still has that delightful and playful childlike temperament and personality.
Second Peter Pascal, Mando is in “a better place than before” and talks about reuniting with Grogu, saying, “He’s reunited with Grogu, which is a very healthy thing for him.” The actor also explained that the characters have evolved from being “so fixated on how the Way is one-way, essentially” to “just this wet puppy sponge armored from head to toe, learning and learning and learn”.
It will be really interesting and fun to see how Grogu continues to evolve and grow during the current season and see how the dynamic between him and Mando will change. What do you expect to see from Grogu by the end of the season?
