Ike Barinholtz Reveals The A-Lister Was Too Busy To Appear On ‘History Of The World Part II’ (Exclusive)

There is no shortage of fantastic guest stars History of the world, part IIHulu’s new sequel to the iconic 1981 Mel Brooks movie. Andy Cohen, Brunson farm, Seth Rogen, daisy choAND josh gad are just a few of the big names featured on the show. But there was one iconic actor who Indeed I wanted to be inside HOT, part IIand it was not possible due to scheduling problems. Series producer/writer Ike Barinholz revealed who it was in an EXCLUSIVE interview with hollywood life.

“Someone who really wanted to be there, and was doing a show out of the country, he was justin therouxIke said.

The beloved comedian told us he’d love to have Justin, 51, attached to the show if Hulu confirms another season. “I think it would be fun if we did another season. He’s got a good historical face,” Ike said leftovers star. “And a warm body, frankly.”

It would have been fun to see Justin on the show, which parodies events from different historical periods. Still, the series has a great crop of guest stars that Ike raves about in our interview. “We had a great group of amazing people. And then there were people who said, ‘I can’t go that day,’ but they ended up coming another day,” he said.

Ike served as executive producer and writer History of the world, part II with Mel Brooks and other comedians Nick Kroll AND Wanda Sykes. I said Does not know how the group managed to create the sequel to the series more than 40 years after the release of the original film.

“First of all, we get to work with these different historical settings, so you always find a new place, a new setting,” Ike explained. “We had a fantastic writing team who understood that we were trying to keep up with Mel’s spirit and make fun of those responsible, because they are often self-righteous liars. So we really let it roll. And the ideas are certainly not lacking. I think at the end of the day you have a real variety show where each skit has its own vibe and gameplay, its own setting and background and characters. So it really feels like you’re looking at something and then you spin the globe and you put your finger on it and you find a new place to settle down.”

History of the world, part II Premiere Monday 6 March. Two new episodes will be released each day, with the finale on Thursday, March 9.
