Woody Harrelson says Covid protocols are ‘absurd’: ‘As an anarchist I don’t handle mandates well’

Woody Harrelson calls on Hollywood to scrap Covid protocols, which he calls “bullshit” and “absurd”.

In conversation with New York Times Magazine to talk about his new film masterHarrelson said he enjoys making indie films, but isn’t sure about the on-set credits.

“Are you getting an indie now? Especially with all the Covid protocols – which to me is pretty absurd. I don’t know what will happen,” he said.

The reporter has the Real detective Alum explained why he thought the protocols were absurd, and the actor added: “The fact that they’re still going on! I don’t think anyone should have the right to ask to be forced to test, wear the mask and to be forced to be vaccinated three years later I think let’s get over this bullshit.

Harrelson said he was more concerned about the crew working on film sets than he could fall under the mandates.

“It’s not fair to the teams,” he continued. “I don’t have to wear the mask. Why should they? Why should they be vaccinated? Why doesn’t it depend on the individual? I shouldn’t talk about it [expletive]. It makes me mad at the crew. The anarchist part of me, I don’t think we should have had forced testing, forced masking and forced vaccinations. This is not a free country.”

Harrelson repeated, “I’m really talking about the crew. Because I can come without a mask. I can test less. I’m not in the same position as you, but it’s wrong. It’s three years. To stop.”

The actor concluded: “As an anarchist, I don’t handle mandates very well.”

Harrelson’s comments come as he made a controversial appearance Saturday night live where he made anti-vax comments that divided viewers.
