Hulu has released the first trailer for its upcoming musical rom-com series Up herewhat stars Mae Whitman. The film is by the screenwriter of Tick, Tick… Boom!the director of Hamiltonand the songwriters of The Book of Mormon Broadway musical.

The story is set in New York City “in the waning days of 1999, following the extraordinary story of an ordinary couple, as they fall in love – and discover that the single greatest obstacle to finding happiness together may be themselves – and the treacherous world of memories, obsessions, fears and fantasies that lives in their heads”.
Whitman assumes Lindsay’s role, and she is joined by Charles Valdes like Miguel, with Katie Finneran, John Hodgmann, Andrea Burns, Sophie Hammond, Emilia Suarez, Scott Porter, Ayumi PattersonAND Brian Stokes Mitchell.
The film was directed by Thomas Kail from a screenplay by Steven Levenson, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez and Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. Up here is a series based on the show by writers/lyricists Kristen Anderson-Lopez AND Robert Lopezwho wrote songs from Winnie the Pooh, Frozen, CoconutAND Frozen II.
The series will debut on March 24, 2023.
