Chris Pine clears the air about what really happened to Harry Styles at the Venice Film Festival in a viral moment called Spitgate.
During the Don’t worry love Many fans believed Styles spat on Pine while sitting down to watch the film. In a new interview, Pine denies that the Grammy winner spat on him, calling him a “very, very nice guy.”
“I was on the plane with my publicist who said I looked like Rachel from Friends [with my current hairstyle], we fly back from Venice. And I sleep, have a good time on the plane. I like airplanes,” he said inhabitant. “And she wakes me up in a, you know, state. She says, “We have to do a report on what happened in Venice.” And I’m like ‘About what?’ “That Harry spat on you.” Although I have no idea what happened. She showed me the thing. Harry actually looks like he’s spitting on me. He didn’t spit on me.”
Pine explained that it was actually a joke between them, adding, “I think what he said, he leaned forward and I think he said, ‘They’re just words, aren’t they?’ Because we had a joke, because we’re all jet-lagged, we’re all trying to answer these questions, and sometimes when you do these purple things, your brain gets messed up, you know you’re going to start talking gibberish, and we had a joke like, ‘It’s just words, man.’
The actor said goodbye to all the drama surrounding the film and appeared afterwards Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieveswhich hits theaters on March 31.
