This is at the top of the epic The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series that Amazon is developing. They have already released the first season and there are four more seasons on the way. So, in the coming years, The Lord of the Rings the content will be constantly pumped. During a recent interview with Variety, head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke was asked if perhaps we are getting too close Lord of the Rings for the market, and this was his answer:

“We’ll see. We love our original series. We’re extremely proud of it and have invested for the long-term. So, we definitely think there’s enough fan love to sustain ours for a long time.”

So, she’s definitely 100% committed. The rings of power. I was actually wondering what everyone at Amazon was thinking when the news of the new Lord of the Rings hit movie. I can’t help but think they’re a little pissed that they can only work with appendages, while WB works with the main substance of the stories.

It had previously been explained that “the incomparable world of JRR Tolkien’s return is returning to the big screen in new and exciting ways. We understand how much these works are appreciated, and by working together with our partners at New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures, we intend to honor the past, look to the future and adhere to the highest level of quality and production values.

It was also explained: “For all the scope and detail lovingly packed into the two trilogies, the vast, complex and dazzling universe dreamed up by JRR Tolkien remains largely unexplored.” These new films will explore more of the Middle-earth universe, which is sure to be fascinating.

It is not known if Peter Jackson and his team will be reunited with these films, but they’re “in the loop” right now. In a statement Jackson released, Fran Walsch AND Philippa Boyenshe said, “Warner Brothers and Embracer have kept us updated every step of the way. We look forward to speaking with them further to hear their vision for the franchise moving forward.”

While these films are being developed, Amazon Studio will spend over a billion dollars developing five seasons of The rings of powerand I’m currently in the middle of filming season 2.
