‘Joker 2’ may have different endings to change the origin of Harley Quinn

The recordings of ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ have started for several weeks, and the return of Joaquin Phoenix, accompanied by Lady Gaga, in the DC Comics character, is one of the most anticipated by fans. Now, Warner Bros. Discovery is rumored to have ordered several endings taped to change Harley Quinn’s origin in the film.

According to well-known insider KC Walsh, he claims that “Joker: Folie a Deux’ may have multiple alternate endings: “It looks like they may have filmed multiple endings as well,” the leaker mentions. It should be remembered that this would not be the first time that Warner has ordered to have several alternative recordings of its films, as happened last year with ‘The Batman’.

Although he does not specify the reason, Walsh himself had anticipated that «joker 2′ it would change the origin story of Harley Quinn, which would be very different from the comics. For the uninitiated, this character is a doctor known as Harleen Quinzel, who has the Joker as a patient at Arkham Asylum, the place where many of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains are taken.

Although most likely Warner ordered more endings to be recorded to avoid leaks ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’, therefore, if a scene is shared online, it may not be in the final cut of the film, and thus avoid revealing the end of the story. But there are also those who point out that it could be that Todd Phillips has not yet decided to close his videotape.

Could there be a third part of “Joker”?

The EUDC restructuring made it clear that the franchise of Joaquin Phoenix and Todd Phillips belongs to DC Elseworlds, which will not mix with the HBO Max series or DC Studios films, nor with “The Batman”. But the fact that they’re exploring different endings to the “Joker 2” story might make one think a third part is possible.

Either way, Warners hasn’t hinted that there will be a third “Joker,” but that DCEU universe aside, maybe they could think about expanding this franchise. Either way, ‘Folie a Deux’ will be a musical that will tell the love story between Arthur Fleck and Harley Quinn, until they become a pair of killers, and that they may have a future together.

‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ will be released on October 4, 2024 and the recordings of the film directed by Todd Phillips will last several months this year. We therefore expect a moment in which there will be many news, indiscretions and leaks on this long-awaited sequel.
