Jackie Earle Haley (Guardians, little children) AND Walking Dead actor Ross Marchand they are set to star in the upcoming crime thriller project Tuesday’s flu. The film will be directed by Daniel Capriolo (The Munsters), who also stars in the film, written by Stephen AND Brian Parri.
The title of the film, Tuesday’s flu, is the term bookies use when players conveniently disappear after the weekend’s losses. It tells the story of Jason McCutchen (Marquand), “a compulsive gambler who finds himself heavily in debt to an obnoxious bookie. Lester Smalls (Haley) offers him a way out – one last chance – with the downside that Jason could lose his son in the bet.
Sounds like my kind of movie! I like movies like this that take place in the world of gambling, and this one has a lot of talent, so I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
The film will go into production next month on the East Coast.
