A POKEMON Presents Airs POKEMON DAY Here are my predictions and a wish list

The Pokémon Company International recently announced that on Pokémon Day, February 27, at 6am PST, a Pokémon Presents will air on the official YouTube channel. The video is expected to be 20 minutes filled with franchise news to celebrate 27 years of Pokémon. They’ve also released a short teaser showcasing tons of people they interact with Pokémon in different ways. You can watch it below, and let us know what you expect and hope to see in Pokémon Presents in the comments below. I will share mine just below the video.

I’ll start with my predictions and you can find my wish list a little later. I think we will hear about something new for Pokémon Unitea new event or series of events for Pokémon GOa physical merchandising such as soft toys, a trailer for the new Pokémon anime series and two other video game announcements. The first of these video game announcements will be add-on content (DLC) for Pokémon Scarlet AND Purple Pokémon which will be released later this year and will also be available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass. I know the team has been working hard to update the games with fixes and I hope this continues.

The other video game ad in my forecast is that one Pokémon Red, Pokémon BlueAND Pokémon Yellow will be added to Nintendo Switch Online and Pokémon Stadium will hit NSO + EP on the day or at least within a month. I therefore predict that another set of Pokémon Game Boy/Color and Game Boy Advance games will be added to the online platforms every 2-3 months. I expect these games to have trading and battles enabled via online multiplayer and hopefully things are fixed where you can connect Game Boy games to Pokémon Stadium to get the most out of that experience. I know there were murmurs when a Japanese video for NSO+EP came out Pokémon Stadium removed text saying that Game Boy games would not be able to transfer Pokémon, but I’m hopeless.

Now we come to my wish list. I would like it if they announced that all core Pokémon games are released for GB/C and GBA as well as both Pokémon Stadium interrelated titles. It would also be great if you could link them to Pokémon house. Again, I’m not hopeful, but a guy can dream. I also think it would be fun if they announced the spin-off Pokémon games like Mysterious dungeon the titles will arrive on NSO + EP later this year. Another hope is that they announce Pokémon trading card game 2 will be released in English for the first time through NSO. Other items on my wish list include an announcement of improvements to Scarlet AND Viola, a new spin-off coming next year or even the next. I want them to break the tradition of releasing a new game every year or two. It’s making less-than-stellar games (I loved it Scarlet, but it was still a big mess and Legends: Arceus was a mess too). My last wish list item would be a new anime series that goes back and follows the original Pokémon adventures manga.
