Shin Chan has powers in the trailer for the character’s first 3D animated film

From movies and series to manga and video games, there are countless products of Shin Chan, the particularly mischievous, brilliant and intelligent five-year-old, but his next film features one major difference from the rest of the character projects: the animation leaves the traditional 2D of this franchise to make the leap to 3D through CGI (computer generated image). The wait is over, we can finally see how Shin Chan and company perform in this animation style first official trailer:

While normally the titles of Shin Chan’s projects aren’t exactly short, the title of this film reaches another level. It doesn’t have an official Spanish translation yet, but in English it’s called ‘New Dimension! Crayon Shin-chan the Movie Super-Powered Climactic Battle: Soaring Hand-Rolled Sushi’, which could be translated as ‘New dimension! Shin Chan and the Grand Climax Battle: The Flying Homemade Sushi’.

The film It opens in Japan on August 4, but the release date in Spain is unknown and whether it will make it through theaters or land directly on a streaming platform. What we do know, as we saw in the trailer, is the plot of the film, where we will witness how the life of Shin Chan and his inner circle is completely altered when the child gains psychic powers. The studio Shirogumi (“Stand By Me Doraemon”) is in charge of 3D animation, and it is the first time in the history of the franchise that this style of animation has been explored. Hitoshi One (“Bakuman”) directs and writes the character’s 31st film.
