In a recent interview with ES Magazine, Mescal opened up about the downside of fame, revealing a specific incident that happened recently after leaving one of the performances of ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, which he’s playing these days in London. The 27-year-old interpreter reveals it a fan grabbed him by the butt while they were taking a photo together, resulting in a very awkward moment.

“As we were posing, he put his hand on my ass”, says Mescal, who at first thought it might have been an accident. Seeing what was happening, the actor parted with the fan, but “his hand followed me”to continue. “I remember tensing up and feeling some kind of fury. I turned to her and said ‘What are you doing? Get your hand off my ass.'”. Rather than shut up, Mescal decided to confront the fan about what he had done, as disgusting as he was. “The last thing I want is to get anyone’s attention in front of the theater”Explain. “It’s embarrassing for everyone there. But it wasn’t right. It was so rude and disgusting”.

Finally, Mescal reflects on fame and assures that while this sort of thing can happen, more often than not, everything that comes with it is good. Indeed, dare to divide it into percentages: “97% is very nice, but then 3% is someone who takes the piss out of you”.

the trendy guy

Starring in ‘Normal People’ opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones opened the doors of Hollywood wide open for her and she hasn’t stopped since. Her role in the acclaimed British series earned him the BAFTA, after which we saw him in ‘The Dark Daughter’ and most recently, in ‘Aftersun’ where his work earned him his first Academy Award nomination. Though the view is set for the March 12 gala (for which he assures he’ll prepare a speech, after BAFTA caught him off guard), we already know what awaits him next. The projects accumulate, among these, the sequel to ‘Gladiator’, also directed by Ridley Scott, and ‘The History of Sound’, a gay romantic drama set in World War I, in which he will star opposite Josh O’Connor. A meteoric rise indeed.
